Important information:

The Galapagos National Park assigns the itineraries and visiting days for each vessel. By being flexible with your travel dates, you will have access to a wider selection of cruises.

The cruise consists of 3 activities, carried out in specific locations strictly defined by the Galapagos National Park: land hiking, which is the main activity; snorkeling; and zodiac excursions or “panga rides.”

Due to National Park regulations, round-trip flights to and from the Galapagos are scheduled only in the morning. You should consider that during a cruise, you effectively lose a little more than one day due to airport formalities, flight duration, and the time difference.

Some guidelines to follow

You don’t go to the Galapagos to sunbathe and relax, but to enjoy nature and learn from it. In just a few days, you will witness scenes of wildlife that are normally reserved for researchers who have spent many years studying animals. And all of this, just a few steps away!
Enjoy this trip and share unique sensations, but don’t forget to respect certain guidelines and basic rules imposed by the Galapagos National Park in order to preserve the ecosystems. None of these rules is arbitrary. The islands now live in a fragile balance and require all our attention and protection.

Visits to these islands are highly regulated to avoid, as much as possible, the impact of tourism. Be aware that in park sites, you must always remain accompanied by your Galapagos National Park guide, and it is forbidden to bring food or to smoke. Regarding the latter, don’t worry too much — compulsive smokers say they forget about cigarettes when faced with the spectacle of the animals!

On the islands, you may only walk on marked trails, but there is already so much to see, such as birds nesting directly on the path, for example… There are other basic rules: do not touch the animals, keep a distance of two meters so as not to disturb them, do not litter, and do not collect anything from the area — no sand, stones, or plants.

IMPORTANT NOTE

The boat’s tour operator reserves the right to modify the itinerary without prior notice due to weather conditions, Galápagos National Park regulations, or exceptional events.
To avoid any connection issues, we recommend planning a buffer day between your international flight and your Galápagos flight, both on the outbound and return.

The Galápagos National Park imposes itineraries and visit days for each vessel. If you are flexible with the dates of your stay, you will have a wider choice of cruises.

By regulation of the Park, round-trip flights to the Galápagos take place only in the morning. Consider that during a cruise, you effectively lose a bit more than one day due to airport procedures, flight duration, and time difference.

Please note that each boat manages its logistics with a specific airline, either AVIANCA or LATAM. Boats generally require the purchase of round-trip tickets to the Galápagos in order not to complicate logistics.
Flight prices vary depending on agreements between boats and airlines.
If the client buys their own round-trip tickets to the Galápagos:

  • some boats refuse to sell the cruise,

  • others apply a penalty (varying by boat) and decline responsibility in case of delays,

  • and only a few boats allow full freedom of ticket purchase.

Since tour operators have priority over airline seat allocation, we will handle the reservation and purchase of flights to/from the Galápagos to avoid any logistical issues. You only need to indicate the route you prefer.
